F3 running troubles
Please note that I am no moto-techie, so I'm using my best deductive reasoning in this post:
I've been having some trouble lately with my 96 CBR600 F3.There has been a major loss of power and an over-all sickly sound to it. I recently got around to messing with it and found that one of the header pipes was not near as hot as the others (I could hold my hand on it after it warmed up). So I went into the actual chamber (it's labeled as chamber #1) and sure enough there was some kind of liquid all over the spark plug, I'm guessing unburnt gasoline. I went from there checking the spark on the spark plug, it seems to be working fine. That's about as far as I have taken it. If I were to take a guess to say when it started it would have to be around when it started getting much colder. I just bought it at the end of last year for some type of starter bike. Ihate to say it, but I don't think the previous ownertook as much care of it as he should have. I recently replaced the oil, oil filter, spark plugs, fuel filterand cleaned the air-cleaner cartridge, none of which was as clean as they should be.
So, any ideas on this is greatly appreciated, I know it's still a good bike and has plenty more miles left in it, and I (unlike the previoues owner) do take care of it as much as I can. Thanks in advance.
