F2 Trailtech Brake Light Prob
Hey everyone,
I switched over to the trailtech vapor and the gauge itself works really well. However, I can't get the brake lights to work without the stock gauges plugged into the harness. I narrowed it down to the 9-plug connector (light works when this is plugged in) and went through the wiring diagram, but all I've done is go through a box of fuses (same fuse slot).
I kinda think this is happening because the circuit, including the stock gauges, includes the back lights in the cluster. So I'm pulling too much current without these resistors. I haven't tried putting a resistor on there (I don't have one to experiment with).
Does anyone know if I'm on the right track with this. I'm getting a little tired of just cruisin around my block due to the lack of brake lights lol. I really appreciate any pointers from the wiring geniuses around the community.
