So i bought my bike as a salvage. I have everything fixed (except the fairings are still scratched) except one damn part I just cant get. I cannot get the light above the license plate to work. I have one of those light up testers and when i touch it to the live connected thing, the tester lights up fine. The bulb itself is fine, but i bought a new one just incase anyways (obviously i didnt fix it, or i wouldnt be writing this). So then i connected the light tester to the ground wire at the base of the light when the bulb was in, and the tester lit up, but the bubl doesnt light up. Is there any obvious solution i am missing. It seems to me that the problem must be with the ground, but i didnt see anything glaringly obvious wrong with it. anyone have any ideas? is there a switch somewhere lol. thanks guys.

I wouldnt care, but that ligth is on the check list to have the title changed to a rebuild...

 

Who gives a crap about the light over the plate. I took mine off. Who needs to let the cops know what your plate is.

up here in Canada, you can get a ticket for no light on your plate. Not sure about the States... but probably something to look into...

I have mine setup that the tail light lights up the plate. Its legal in Nebraska, and technically it does light it up.

 

when i got my undertail it diddnt come with a licence plate light & its legal in all 50 states

 

i dont have a light on mine and my tag sits all the way under my seat and it is good to get on a military base and they are the worst about rules.
