I did it to my racecar, lowered under hood temps like 30*

I would think it would lower engine temps in stop and go traffic, works great and is easy to install, kinda pricey, but the benifit is greater then the cost I would say. I may just do that too.

I have a 93 1000F and I wrapped the headers. It seems to help with the engine temp and gives a slight increase in power because it is forcing the heat out the pipe where it goes therefore causing the exhaust gases to vacate faster because of having no where else to go.It took almost 100 feet to cover my header and collector.Yes it does help but you have to drop your header off your bike in order to wrap it correctly and you need to replace the exhaust gaskets when you take it off.

from everything i have read exhaust wrap are the worst thing in thw work to do to a header. i bought a 2nd header off ebay and sent it in and had it jethot coated they coat the header inside and out. much better. just wrapping the outside over heats the pipe and it will soon be junk. jet hot is the way to go. i never reach 220 even in stop and go traffic on a 90 degree day
