No you don't need to re-jet (that's for carburetted engines), yes you need a power commander if you want to get the most out of the exhaust.

Do i need a power commander for only a slip on system.. (mostly for looks and sound?) i can understand for a full system.. but another $400 for a slip on system? Is it required or just a reccomendation.. and is it going to be bad for the bike to not have a commander with the slip on system?

it's a recommendation. without it the bike just won't run as well as if you had it.

no problems in running just the slip on...your bike won't run as well, but won't hurt it or anything...and if you're just puttn around town...you'll be fine.
