Default engine killing?

So I purchased a 2003 CBR600RR about three weeks ago and have been very happy with it except for one thing...every once in a while the engine will just die, it has happened at stop lights, and when I was riding full tilt. It doesn't happen often, maybe 3 times since I bought it but does anyone have an idea as to why this is happening? It does have a powercommander on it but pretty sure it is in perfect working order.

Thanks.

Sounds like it may be a battery problem. Have it checked, see if its got a full charge or not.

kickstand switch, maybe a bad kill switch.

Start the bike and jigle the kill switch and see if its stalls. Then do the same thing with the kickstand. Make sure when you test the kickstand the bike is in gear with the clutch pulled in. Jiggle it a little with you foot and see if it stalls

check your battery connection first. loose connection in + or - will do this.

also, could be bank angle sensor.

Could there be a problem with either the ignition or fuel system? The bike only has 3000 miles on it...

It does have a powercommander
Unless Honda makes it, I would suspect it first. Check harness and connections.

Make sure nothing is grounding its self to the frame. Any connectors hanging, light connectors, ground wires secured, etc.

A bad/loose connection bank sensor will kill and engine and most people never think to test it. Mines in a tight spot so I never do.

Check all power wired coming off the positive lead on the battery. The big main one, and any smaller ones. They can sometimes over heat and wire their selfs. If a wire is burnt up, replace it with a bigger gauge. The new 6th gen VFR's have a bad rep on the smaller positive wires burning up and it'll kill the engine.
