Just a quick reply as I read. Each of the checks I'm wanting you to make, you should be leaving the black clip for your probe on the negative terminal of the battery, or the frame. You only move the probe end that has the light. Think of the wiring harness as a hose full of water that's under pressure. When you put the probe into a connector, your checking to see if there is any pressure. I hope that makes sense.

So I did what you said (good pipe analogy haha) I had one side connected to the negitive battery terminal and the other connected to the silicon rectifier (the darker green/red side) and it lights up? But only on that one side? Sooo now i dont really know what to make of all this here is that photo..

I'm glad you were able to get things worked out. So that everyone here knows what happend and the cause, I'll fill in some details. The bike has had the wiring harness replaced. It also doesn't have a gauge cluster, so there are no indicator lights of any kind. It turn out that the bike is not in neutral, in fact that will be one of the next challanges after he gets it started. Anyway, the bike won't start if it's not in neutral. Unless you pull in on the clutch lever and have the side stand in the up position. After doing those 2 things, the starter worked and all was well. We did a Skype session and Dylan-pb had a video camera on his side so that I could see the full picture of what was going on.
