Dual Exhaust

Dual Exhaust
Hi,
We are currently running a CBR600F2 in our FSAE racing car, and are considering installing a custom dual exhaust system. It is mostly just due to engine/frame placement and aesthetics, not performance enhancing. My question is, would it be suitable to install 2x CBR600 mufflers, or two smaller exhausts to maintain back pressure?

Devil and D&D exhausts used to offer a set up like this, they look pretty wicked on bikes and i have seen a number of 600's with them im sure with some retrofitting you could use one of these set-ups and not run into many problems the cans will just be farther apart on your project than they would be on a bike set up like in the pic. You just need to get or make a 2 into 1 adapter to connect to header, or split the header in 2 and run em into 1 on each side so you have 2 true exhausts useing one of those smaller cans per 2 cyclinders, i think you could get it to work just fine with cans like in the pic. but to answere your question yes you can do it but do not use 2 full size exhaust cans. find some like these above they are about half the thickness as a full size since they're designed to use both cans on smaller engine then just have to play with the jets a bit to get the tune right.
