Drive Chain Bolt Adjustment Tips?
I just learned a tip about tightening the rear axel nut...you only tighten it from a 10pm-2am position..cause tightening away from the drive chain bolt can creat space. Any tips for making sure both drive chain adjusting bolts are exactly in the same position (ie counting the number of rotations, looking at the index marks, what is the very BEST)?
good tip, I never put much thought into it because I use the index marks as my guide. I'll have to remember to try this, I'm due to clean my chain and adjust as needed.
Am I wrong to assume the index marks are accurate? Should I advance the adjustment all the way in and then count the turns? I ordered my 15T drive sprocket so I’ll be playing around with this in a few days.
Just got a 32mm socket so can redo the rear end allignment. Gonna take your advice and count the rotations. Don't want early wear on the chain, sprockets, and rear tire....Thanks!!
