when i downshift my bike turns off and i will start coasting what might be the problem here?

 

i had that problem about 3 months ago..drove me nuts trying to figure it out for 2 days....come to find out po had half*** plugged side stand switch back in after they were doing whatever they were doing...it would rattle around in the connector and shut the bike off when i shifted into first...

 

Good suggestion, that would have been my first guess too. take a close look at your kickstand switch to make sure its not loose.
