A wheel bearing can make a clicking, ticking, or roaring noise. Can even make no noise. A quick way I would check is pput it on the side stand, this is kinda hard to explain so bear with me, grab your passenger peg on the left side, slightly pull the bike towards you to lift the rear wheel, using your foot, spin the rear tire and listen for the noise. Hard to explain, but its how I lube my chain at work. You should be able to tell if its coming from your chain or rear wheel. Obviously if its coming from the rear wheel, you have more investigating to do, but its a quick check.

Thanks! I got it up on a stand and checked everything. my wheel is solid but my chain is waaay loose and has alot of slack. the noise was coming from that. but would that cause a wobble in the rear?

No a loose chain wouldn't cause a wobble in the rear. It's possible there was some sand on the ground. Do you continue to feel the wobble under specific circumstances, or was it a one time thing ?
