Default Did I buy the wrong replacement rad. cap?

Someone on this forum said that the STANT 11227 radiator cap works for the CBR. If fit great but I just ran across the radiator section of the shop manual and the radiator cap test section says that the radiator cap should be able to hold 16-20psi for 6 seconds, or replace it. The STANT cap has 13psi printed on it. So did I buy a "weak" cap? If so, does anyone have a STANT part number for one that will hold 16 or 18psi? (The shop manual said above 20psi will cause damage).

In this hot weather I would think that you want the correct amount of psi as per the manual, however, I would not sweat it unless you overheat.

at 13 psi and a 50 50 mix, you should be good for about 260 degrees. I wouldnt worry about the cap you bought.
