Default cracked frame worth repairing?

I had a guy cut me off few days ago, and the bike still starts and rides fine perfectly straight, but part of the frame is cracked is it worth fixing or should I look for a new frame? The area of the frame is cracked is in the picture

I have no idea how that's the only area that's cracked...

Well my would be that it's best not to mess around much with the bike that much right now till it's fixed .... that's literally the backbone of your bike .... I'm not sure which area of the frame in that lil section is cracked from your pic but regardless ... you should take it directly to a collision repair center and let them take a look at it, they'll be the ones doing the work and I wouldn't trust anybody's opinion but theirs honestly .... some ppl will say yes, some will say no to your question .... but me, I'm just advising you get the answer from who's gonna be doing the welding/straightening(if needed) or take their word If it looks to be a total loss on the frame ...

kinda hard to tell from the pic - but is that crack not on the main frame but on the joint where the rear subframe is welded to the main frame?

If so and the main frame isn't compromised - I'd make sure everything in the tail is straight & have a professional aluminum welder tig it up.

You could have it repaired I'm sure. My friend cracked the frame on his kx250f (motocross bike) and had it welded back up. That frame sees a lot more abuse than a street bike, but regardless you need to get that fixed. Because if your frame splits on you going 100....you're probably going to feel it more than my friend would

yep it's towards the joint of the rear subframe, and not really part of the main frame, I think it's probably not the best idea to have fat girls ride in the back (regardless I removed foot pegs for passengers) so I don't have to give anyone rides.

Do you guys think I'd have to remove the engine for this weld or could it be welded with just removing the gas tank?
