I honestly can't answer that. If it is a crack, it should start to grow in length. But again, yous doesn't appear to be a crack. Also, how is the integrity of the other mount points?

I best get a manual to check where the other mount points are mate!

Photo after a light sandpaper rub and wire wool,assuming if it was a crack then it was just surface!?!

I would think so. From this viewpoint it doesn't look like it is a crack.
