Adjust your clutch lever so you have some freeplay and it'll grab sooner. Having it too tight (no freeplay) will only cause your release bearing to burn up quicker, and if really tight could make the clutch slip and burn that up to

thers no ajustment left at the lever. the ajusters are bottomed out at the lever. if i screw them the other way it will just make it even tighter. thats why i was wondering if there was another way to ajust it. i just bought the bike a week ago. i bought from the orignal owner but he dosnt have a clue.

Yes, the enging mounted adjustment is for major adjustments. The perch-mounted adjustment is for fine-tuning. If I'm not mistaken, 2 open-ended wrenches for the engine mounted adjustment, 13mm and 14mm. Could be wrong, it's been a long winter.

Put your perch-mounted adjuster almost all the way out. Then do your major adjustment @ engine, now go back to your lever and fine tune it.

Good luck, holla if ya need anything.

You want about 1/4" free play in the lever. My clutch grabs almost all the way out on my F4 and the shop said it's gettng close to replacement time, but it don't slip so i'm good.
