Default change in elevation

anyone know how my bike will run if I take it to 7200ft elevation? I live at sea level wanting to ride it 250 miles to a certain place. Anyone done this before?

not the same as it would at sea level... if you're running 89HP At sea level, expect around 80-83 HP at the height.

If you're carb'd you may run into some hiccups.... fuel injection is usually able to help itself out enough. Still gonna notice it either way, but carbs can be funny at higher elevations sometimes. One of the guys I was with at the GAP last year had a Husqvarna supermoto (carb'd) and he was having all sorts of problems with it at the higher elevations. Kept fouling out plugs... I think we went through about 10 of them before we finally got it running well enough to go riding for the day without any problems. My F4i did perfectly fine... didn't really even notice any performance difference

Thanks guys, I figured there is a hp difference becuase my car is super sluggish going there. But my bike is carb'd luckily if there is problems I can coast down the hill
