Default Chain tool

Has anybody ever made a chain removal/riverting tool. I had an idea to. Use an old c clamp and mod it to push the pin out and rivet. Anybody ever done anything similar.

For a decent, precision tool like that, I'd rather cough up the change. I'm sure it can
be done. But, other than brag right's, I'm thinking the return on my time is gonna be
a negative. Old man told me once..."If you're not making double time for your off-hours,
you're cheating yourself". I know I couldn't fab it up in less than 2 hours (more like 3-4, is my guess), so I'd be looking to buy. ;-)

if you are in the US go to a harbor freight store and you can get one for $10. i used it to do my chain, a 530, and it worked great. i bent it a little bit but i figured for $10 a one time use item isnt bad, seeing as i will probably never need it again anyways

I watched my buddy use a modified c-clamp last night to press the master link on and flare the pins. It worked pretty good. I also purchased the chain tool from Harbor Freight but have not used it yet.
