chain tension
3/4 inch, measured in the centre of the chain. I take the adjusting nuts off, mark em with white paint and turn them both the same amount of turns till I reach the right tightness. I think the adjustment marks on bikes are just there for show, and are notoriously inaccurate, make sure you find the tightest point in the chain 1st and lube it before you adjust it. Nothing personal, but if your big guy (or girl) when you think you have the settings right, have someone sit on the bike, cause the compression of the rear shock can tighten the chain a tad more, so compensate for that.
