Default Chain and sprocket help

well i currently have a 520 RK chain and -1 +2 vortex sprockets on my 97 F3. The chain has been a major pita! It gets sloppy after every ride. I have approx, 6000mi on the chain and just yesterday ran out of adjustment on the swingarm. I usually ride the hell out of my bike but never really hit it hard like with wheelies etc. just quick accell. Im not sure if this is just the life of a chain or is there something better. I have heard of DID and EK but have no one that has ever used them around me.

Also i am interested in finding a new rear sprocket. Can anyone recommend a good rear sprocket, preferably a steel and aluminum or titanium??

I have heard very good things about DID as well. I personally use driven chains and sprockets, and similar to Fly, thousands of miles and still look new. I get driven at 1tail.com

the 520 chain will stretch faster than the stock size chain. Also, hard accelerations are actually harder on the chain than say a wheelie as your putting a lot of force on the chain for a longer period of time. In a wheelie, its just a short load than very little load while the front end is in the air. If you want longevity, go with the stock chainsize.

Also, a chain that is adjusted too tight will stretch out faster. Or, one that isnt properly lubed and kept clean.

Ive ran a vortex rear aluminum sprocket on my bike. I have 14,000 miles on it and it shows a litte wear, but not bad at all. I'm very impressed with it durability. But, it is a 530. Plus, my chain looks and feels great with not a whole lot of stretch. I'm changing it soon anyway, but its quiet, very little side to side play and no burned up or stuck rollers. I think its D.I.D. chain. But after 14,000 miles, its still functioning fine. But I keep it very clean, lubed and always adjusted correctly. anyone of those things not correct and it can shorten the chains life dramatically.

the first chain i bought was an RK...horrible, had the same issues as you...but at 1-2K.
after that i went DID and never looked back. even with 520 stronger than a bull!
