Im trying to install my replacement (auto) cctl and by accident pulled the pin at the top and it retracted, now it wont fit. Is there a way to collapse it again so it will fit?

yes, simply take a tiny screwdriver, stick it in the threads, and turn it to retrach the tip. once its retracted all the way, hold it tightly, take out the screwdriver, and put the pin back in.
