Default Problem with 2003 RR around 6000RPM

So I was riding yesterday for a good hour when all of a sudden I throttle up to around 5-6 RPM and my bike begins to do this chugging in the engine and throttle. theres no smoke or smell of any kind, and my chain was fine. so i slow down ride my bike around 45 mph, unable to go over that speed (or 6RPM) without it chugging again. i somehow manage to ride it home, but for the next 30 minutes, my bike slowly keeps on not letting me go any faster. Before you know it, I go from not able to go over 5rpm..to not being able to go over 4rpm...to not be able to go over 3rpm...and so on. I make it home ok (mind you at this point im only able to go about 20mph), and my bikes not smoking or overheating. my friend rode it and said it felt like the engine wasn't getting any gas, but I had a full tank. Another friend suggested that I unplug the battery to reset the ECU which I'm trying now. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Fuel pump or fuel filter? Maybe a fuel pressure reg? I don't know about the RR and if it has two sets of injectors (I am guessing here), maybe the ECU reset will wake them up.
