I have a 98 cbr900rr that im having problems with. I rode about 125 miles or so today and it got good and warm and had no problems with it. But i rode again and just went about 10 miles and shut it down and then it wont start unless i push it. Then I hit the gas and it dies. any help would be appreciated

Could be vapor lock, it's not the fuel pump...98's don't have them. Open the fuel cap and listen for a hiss when you open it. If that's not it, then start with basics...when it won't start, remove plug boot and stick a good plug in and ground it against frame and check for spark. If it's getting spark, loosen bowl drain screw and make sure fuel is flowing out. I've known several RR's to have problems with the petcock. Also make sure vacuum line is good and tight at the petcock.

havent had that problem again. but now im having a different problem. I was out riding tonight and we rode for about 100 miles or so. the bike was in sixth gear runnin about 4 thousand rpms and i cracked it open and it started cutting our real bad. It sounds like it is losing fuel or getting to much fuel. I can pull the clutch in and it will die let the clutch out and it starts right back up. I have no clue to what this problem could be so any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem with my 96 900 and my reg/rec had completely melted on the inside I was able to get it before i ruined my stator and got one with fins and have not had a problem since, i would check both stator and reg/rec just to be safe and if you did fry the reg/rec you most likely fried the plug on the harness and if so you don't have to buy a new harness just to replace the plug on the harness hit up ricks and they now have what you need for 10 bucks to fix the plug.
