Lightbulb 1995 honda cbr900rr getting no power to nothing & it wont start

hey hows it going i have a cbr 900rr, i was cruising it around all week, then last night i noticed that the fan wasnt turning on and i found a wire just hanging there so i touched it to a ground and fan started to work. so i grounded the wire but the fan would always be on so i continued to ride, i was going to a meet today with some friends and pulled into a gas station turned her off got gas and then started her then all of a sudden she dies and after that my bike wont start crank turn over and none of the lights work please help me out if anybody knows anything ill be very grateful, thanks.

so could it be that i grounded that wire that made the fan work and possibly i fried some thing, or could it be a stator battery or something else?

please help me out

hey can anybody help me out

It's Sunday night and not many people hanging around to answer questions. If the bike has no power at all, and I mean nothing lights up, then the main fuse has blown. It's on the Starter Relay near the battery and hidden under a little cover. It's a 30A fuse. Not knowing for sure about that wire, you could have grounded the fan motor and caused it to run all the time. Normally the fan motor is controlled by a Thermo-Switch that's attached to the Radiator. The switch gets warm, grounds the fan and the fan turns on. Radiator cools off a bit, the switch opens and the fan turns off. It's a pretty simple setup.

You have to learn to be patient, especially when you're new to the forum.

Ignition (key) switch could be bad/dirty contacts. No lights at all, it's generally the fuse.
