Default Cbr600rr 07. Cct.

Hi all.
Has anyone ever tightened an OEM CCT by inserting a screwdriver and turning anti-clockwise. I’ve checked and approx 30 degrees of rotation will advance the tensioner 1 mm. So the genuine Honda tensioner can be tightened just like the aftermarket manual ones.
I replaced my CTT last month at 7000 miles from new and the rattle from cold start is still there - occasionally (not all the time). I’ve noticed a vibration on deceleration which by all accounts read could be the CCT.
The bike rides just fine and the motor is sweet. I’m now just interested (it’s got me hooked) and looking to nail it.
Thanks.
Matt

Just ditch that thing and get a manual tensioner. You won't regret it! I fought my CRF450R for years with OEM tensioners, even turning it in all the way before install once and it still rattled. So when my 06 600RR was due, I just ponied up and got the manual CCT. Been 4 years now without even having to readjust it. Did a manual in the dirt bike too, same deal. Been solid for 3 years.
