Default cbr600fsport problem

Hi,
Just wondered if any one could help me,Have a 2001 cbr600FSport 'rossi rep' which has developed a rattle/knocking noise at tickover and up to about 5000rpm but it goes away when clutch is pulled in'engaged'.Is it the infamous cam chain tensioner or something else. Many Thanks for looking and look forward to your suggestions.

Thanks All
Gary.

If the rattle goes away when you pull the clutch lever in, it is usually the clutch basket and the plates that are worn, allowing the plates to rattle in their slots. Other than that, it may be the timing chain and/or tensioner that may be worn.
