CBR600F 1994 bike..
No it's not normal. could be a few things. 1st off, check your throttle freeplay, cable could have stretched, at the back of the throttle twist you will find two cables, one has a small lock neet, and an adjuster (long nut) clock ways takes up freeplay, don't over do it with the adjustment.
2nd Cable may need to be lubed, you can get an adapter for lubing the cables a bike shop to use with spray can lube. 3rd The throttle linkage may have a build up of crud on it a needs to be lubed as well, you have to remove the tank and air clearner box to get to it properly. Its a fairly straight forward job, be keep track of the screws and such as you take it em off, (don't mess with the carbs themselves) the rail linkage runs at the back of the carbs (a friend has done it by taking of the left fairing panel, but I think this was more of a pain to do it that way, it certainly was to watch) and besides, its good to be able to see that cable hasn't actually frayed, and that's the 4th thing that could be causing it (Murphys Law dictates that it has to at least two of the above). to much hassel?, get the bike shop to look at it.
