CBR600 F4I Frame Slider Installation? Help...
I just got a 2004 CBR600F4i and wanted to install frame sliders on it but after I read the manual I can't find the engine mount bolt in the book to put the sliders on it....anyone have experience in frame slider installation?
I know I need to drill my fairings and that will require bondo to make the indent and tape on the outside to prevent paint chips....anything else I'm missing? Thx guys...

Well you don't need to drill holes....I bought the bolt-ons....if you want to drill holes they are very close to the F4i stickers on the fairings....almost near the bump in the plastic.
here are my sliders installed on my 02 F4i (before putting the fairings back on:

have you already bought the sliders?
basically all you do is remove the bolts from the holes in the pics above, attach the base of the slider with the bolt provided in the slider kit, attach the slider puck itself, and drill the hole in your fiarings (usually 2" hole). You have to be creative in marking where exactly to drill the hole, the F4i has foam stuff on the fairing so you can use the base of the slider to impring the foam, drill a small pilot hole (really small) and use a 2" hole saw to drill from the outside of the fairing so the outside isn't rough
hope this helps
any questions just ask, I've done it 3 times at least on my F4i

Well I've already bought the slider and they are the phillip Lockhart ones(black graphites). I was told by someone to put bondo on the inside of the fairing and then put the fairing back on for the imprint and then drill....what do you guys think?

I guess you could use bondo, But I would think if you wanted to go the imprint method it would be easier/cheaper to use play-do, silly puddy, or even a wad of mud.
Laser method is more accurate though, but we're talking .10s of an inch. Read my write up regarding the laser method if you haven't already. It's really not that difficult.
