CBR wont turn over/start..... HELP
Okay heres the deal, i let my friend ride my F2 today and he pulled over to take a break, went to start the bike agian and nothing.... It wont even turn over even when trying to jump it off. We checked the starter relay and it is good(tested it on friends bike) so its good. Took the starter off and its not binded so i assume its alright but nothing is workin. I changed the pkugs and there was gas on them so im wondering if maybe there is gas th the cylinder and keeping it from compressing?
i was able to get it to turn over. took the no 1 plug out and hit the starter and it gushed gas out the spark plug hole so im guessing the carb was stuck open? do i just need to clean em up?
forgot to add, this is the first time i have torn into this bike since i first purchased it and a few things i have found out is there is no fuel pump, it has f2 carbs on a f3 motor, and the previous owner had no idea what he was doing. If i add in a fuel pump will it begin to solve some of my problems?
Flooding of a cylinder with fuel is going to be caused by a stuck or leaking float valve. Cleaning and or replacing is what you're going to have to do.
Can you provide a little more detail on the bike itself ? You say it's an F2, but it has F2 carbs on an F3 motor. F2's don't have fuel pumps or a Throttle Position Sensor. If this bike has had a F3 motor put in it, then it's understandable why the F2 carbs are on it.

The bike is a 94 but the original motor blew and was replaced with a 96 spec. Should i even worry about adding a fuel pump? would it hurt if i did? I noticed the difference in the two carbs and the fact that there wasnt a tps on the f2 carbs.
