cbr problems i think
Hello all
Im Ian from kent in the uk have just purchased a cbr600fs on a 52 plate and i love it . But is it has a blue flame exhaust on it other than that i think its standard at between 6000 and about 7500 revs when i open the throttle it feels like its going to die and nothing happens then above this its ok it feels a bit like turbo lag and the other problem is my rear end its rock solid and every groove or bump sends back end in air or makes it skip around feels a bit unsafe and like my back wheel is going to slip out sometimes . Any ideas or am i worrying about nothing ? many thanks

Try putting your rear set up back to standard settings & then go from there (Spring, Rebound & Compression) It all depends on your weight & what sort of roads & riding you do. A few things can cause the hesitation (flat spot) accelerating. Usually carbs, can be related to aftermarket pipe, but it could also just be in need of a new set of plugs/airfilter & a tune up
Ok cool i will try all of this thanks for yoour time and help ! i have only had the bike a few days and i love it just trying to get it set up rite as i am off to germany in a few weeks with a group of friends
