CBR 600 Hurricane
I have an electrical issue with my Hurricane 600. Its a 1988 model. After wrecking the bike my headlight went out. I check the fuse panel and it the headlight 10A fuse was blown. I replaced fuse and it blew instantly. I used a multi meter at the fuse panel on the headlight circuit and it reads overload situation as soon as key is turned on, then it levels back out to 12V. I have visually inspected the wiring and fixed a couple weak links in the system with the same problem still presenting. What could be the issue? How do I go about troubleshooting this issue the 'right' way? Thanks guys
FOLLOW-UP:
I hard wired the headlight and found it is not a blown bulb.
Since I now KNOW the bulb is good, where else can I check? Could the overload situation be caused by the r/r? I'd like some input from the forum before I start taking parts off to test. What do yall think it is? If I haven't provided enough information just as me what else you need to know to help me out. THX
