CBR 600 FM noise with link
Afternoon,
Iv got an ongoing noise from the bike which is givving me concern. Getting a rasping type noise at low revs typically 1500-3500 most noticable when backed of the throttle. CBR600 Rattle - YouTube Not my vid but is the only video i can find with the same noise i get.
Already rulled out - Cam chain (was replaced 500 miles ago with new tensioner, guides etc) at the time of taking the header off everthing inside the case seemed perfectly fine also. Noise was there before the cam chain replacement.
The oil is due a change which i will do in the next week or two along with coolant (the noise shouldnt be related to either of these).
Any ideas as to what is going on?
Cheers.

Its hard to tell from the vid. But the noise you are describing would lead me towards checking the valves.
How many miles are on the bike? If its over 15,000 miles, it should be checked anyway. I think the best way to describe valves in need of adjustment would be a tin can with BB's rolling around inside. They usually make the noise when your rpms are letting off as you described.
You may also experience some mild popping through the exhuast on deceleration. If they haven't been checked, look into that as a possible issue.
