Hello all. Im new to the bike scene and i just picked up my first bike. Its a 1997 Honda CBR 900. Im having a few issues with the bike. The current problem with the bike is that i cant get it to run. When turning it over the bike will fire up and its even shot a few flames out of the exhaust and back fires. I pulled the plugs and they look fairly new but they were black and covered in fuel.
The previous owner told me that he recently replaced the Stator, recitifier and pulse generator. He said the bike would start sometimes, and then sometimes it wouldnt. If any one has some suggestion or answer please let me know. I would like to get the bike up and going asap. Thanks
