CBR 1000rr shifting question
so i recently purchased a 2011 cbr 1000rr with 4600 miles. i used to ride an 05 r6 and shifting from first to second was no problem, the shift level was easy and went into second with barley any effort from my foot. now all a sudden on my 2011 cbr i can hardly lift the lever to get it into second and it always will go into neutral first. is this common just because the bike is new and needs to get worn in or is something wrong?
Try adjusting the lever lower.
If it's too high, you don't have any leverage with your toe.
One of the most common errors of new bike ownership,
not adjusting a bike's controls to your body.
If that's not the issue, double-check the slack in the clutch cable.
It should only have 1/4" to 3/8" of play. Any more than that, possibly,
you might not be fully, dis-engaging the clutch.
Hope this helps, Ern
