Jus bought a 04 cbr 1000rr was told it jus needed clutches. I took the housing off an the clutch basket was shattered. Cleaned out all the shrapnel dropped the oil pan an cleaned it to. Replaced all parts put new clutches in. Now bike goes into gear good jus won't go when in gear clutches are in the right way. I can cycle all the gears jus idles in gear an when given the gas bike will not go.....

 

Maybe it needs more than just clutches....

 

This can happen if you don't put in the correct number of plates and fibers. Also, the judder springs are directional.
