Default cb550 carb / jet question

ive got a 74 cb550k i installed pod filters and a free flowing exhaust im wondering what size jets to use ? im assuming i need new jets by the way the bikes reacting. so any input is appreciated ! im trying to order jets asap so i can be back on the road !

I am doing the same thing to my 550f and will probably be upping the 98 jet to a 120 or 125.

I would go 110. I don't think you will need to go more than that. If the bike is popping alot then go 110 and see how it acts. I think 125 is a little too much. That's just my opinion. I have never had to go more than 115 on any of my 550 4's

Also adjust your points before screwing with the jets. It will help you tune it better.

just adjust the opints to stock specs right ?

Well, I have a 550f or Super Sport if that makes a difference. I believe that the carbs are different.

carbs are different on the super sports. yes points go to stock specs.

Much will depend on your height above sea level................
Jetting at seaside and jetting in Colorado will be very different.
Just a thought..........................
