Default Carburetor Question

I have 1997 CBR 600 F3. I installed a V&H SS2R slip on and K&N filter a couple years back. This winter I installed a Dynojet stage 1 jet kit per the kits specs. The bike runs excellent (has more response and pull) after installation of the jet kit. I'm very happy with the results.

My question is that the bike seems to respond crisper and pull harder when it is cooler compared to when it reaches operating temperature? Any ideas why this is? Do the carburetors need some fine adjusting? Not sure if the bike is running a little lean or rich. The plugs look normal (not white or black).

Let me know of any suggestions ... thanks!

Cool air provides more oxygen and generally less humidity. Therefore, you are able to pack more air into the cylinders and you get a lot more power from the burn/combustion cycle. You should check your plugs for a black soot. if you have the black soot, you could need to get the carbs adjusted because it's running rich.

OK ... thanks.

I think my next project is to sync the carbs and then experiment with the pilot's a little ...

BTW, I've read from may people that the two middle carbs tend to dump more fuel than the outer two because placement of the fuel lines. I've heard recommendations that you should have the two middle carbs one size jet down from the two outer ones. Don't know if it's true, but the plugs will show you as well as an expert engine tuner. (I wouldn't even listen to the mechanics at my local shop in most instances)
