carb/FI sync

carb/FI sync
I have an '01 929 (Fuel injected) and I'd like to sync the carbs (misnomer, i know. i'm too lazy to look up the proper term). I'm thinking about getting one of these single vacuum guages http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=93547, then take a reading off of cylinder 1 and match the others to that... will this plan work? anyone ever made their own "carbtune"?

fuel injection has throttle bodies.
that tool might work, doesn't look like it has the right fittings to thread into the manifold.
this is the tool i've used to sync carbs http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=572
usualy you find the lowest flowing cylinder, and match the rest to it. or, start at the one the throttle cable goes to,#3? (master), and sync the rest to it (slave)

no that will not work. You check 1 cylinder then another and so forth. you find there out of tune then you make an adjustment and check again. You will be checking for the next year. You need the 4 gauge setup or the mercury setup. Believe me, even if you were to try that method, it would cost more in time than just buying the right tool.
