I just bought a 2003 cbr 600rr, i started it and when idling I smelled a burning rubber smell, does any have any insight??

 

i've got the same the problem with my 929.. or did anyway it comes and goes.. i found that a bunch of road crap and build up in your lower fairings next to wear the headers are so maybe you got some grim in there that is burning? mine did it for a while then i cleaned my fairings out and it did it again one day and hasn't done it since.
