Brand New waterpump... still leaking?? Help
I replaced the waterpump since it had been leaking through the weephole. I did a coolant flush at the same time. I changed over to engine ice. I installed the new pump and filled up my system w/ engine Ice. I bled the air, closed it up, and let it get up to temp. Once it was good and hot, it started to leak from the weephole again. What could this be? Is there anything OTHER than a defective waterpump?
If its leaking from the weap hole, the pump is defective. The only time the pump should ever leak there is if the bearing seal is bad and allowing the coolant to flow out. The weap hole is there to let you know the pump's bearing is beginning to fail.
If it was a used pump, you may be out of luck depending on where you got it. If it was a new pump, take it back and get it replaced.

UPdate: It's actually not coming from the weep hole, rather the seam waterpump case where it comes together. It's also leaking coolant from the seam of the stator cover as well. What gives here? I can't figure out what could be wrong. I replaced the gasket around the stator cover and it still leaks.
Is it normal for coolant to even get in there? I thought maybe oil would be in there - there was a little puddle of oil in there when I replaced the gasket. There is NO oil leaking out of the stator cover, just coolant. I'm so confused.. can anyone help me shed some light on this
how does the system work? Does oil or coolant usually flow through the stator cover? What could be causing my leak? The leak is basically just drips. I'm running engine ice after a full flush.

There is no water inside the stator cover. My guess is you are seeing water leak off the pump, run down the case, and end up on the stator cover thus making you think it is leaking out of the cover.
If it is the two sections of the case that are leaking, then it is the little o-ring that is bad. You can order a new one from hondapartshouse.com for something like $3.
If you decide to drop the pump in the garbage and get a new one, I'll pay the shipping for you to send it to me. I'm in the process of trying to locate all the "no-replaceable" seals to rebuild the F4/F4i pump.

Hi mickash600, I doubt very much that the OP will respond as the post you replied to was from 2011!
