Default Blinker Trouble Turned Electrical Nightmare, HELP!

So I bought my '05 CBR 600RR from a guy and the only problem was that the blinkers werent working. Well I went to put in a set of flushmounts on the front and in messing around with the wiring, suddenly my gauges went blank as well as all my lights. Please someone explain to me how to get my new blinkers to actually blink and not just stay solid. Also, my horn went out as soon as the gauges did. If there is anyone who knows how to help, please respond. THANKS!!

Sounds as if it is time to check the fuses. I would start over on the turn signals. Unplug them from the system and get your other lights and guages working, then worry about the turn signals. If I was a betting man, the new turn signals you want to use are LED lighted. These will put a different load on the flasher unit and unless you use resistors on each turn signal, they won't flash at the same rate as before. But, first get the bikes other conditions working. Doa search on turn signals and you will find allot of info on wiring them if they are LED's.

Steve did you ever find out what the problem was, for I have just done the same thing, minus my front light is still working, just rpm and speed gas and all that cluster is out. I have an 06 cbr and was just putting flush mounts on and I dont see how the fuse to the guages would be screwed up by installing new turn signals. On to the fun part, troubleshooting electronics

reck, you blew out your fuse. that its. its a 10amp mini
never work on your electrical system with the bike on = blown fuse
and by the way the gauge panel, turns, and running tail is all on the same fuse. nothing to do with headlight
