Have a 97 F3 and it was sitting for several months and wasn't starting at first so I emptied gas cleaned out the carbs a little and put in new plugs. I got it to start but it wont idle it dies if you dont gas it anything below 2500rmp or so but after that it seems to explode with power. The one thing I didn't change was the air filter. And when i changed my plugs the number for the original plug had an H at the end of it and the ones they gave me did not. Any ideas at what might be the cuase, it could also be that i didn't clean the carbs enough but I dont want to tear them apart if I dont have too.

Did you mess with the idle adjustment? It has a black **** on it and stick through a rubber flap by your calf. You can adjust the idle higher or lower. I would dump in a can of seafoam and run it through the bike also.
