+1 on fuel problem.

start by replacing the fuel filter, most people forget about them on a bike. When I got mine I replaced it as general maintenance and it was almost fully clogged with rust.

When you swap the filter, after your done the swap, Start the bike and let it run for a moment to purge all the air out of the system. Then go back to the fuel pump and pull the hose off the nipple opposite the nipple that the fuel filter goes to. Expect fuel to leak everywhere. Now have an assistant try to start the bike and see if fuel dribbles out or if it pushes out hard. Dribble means bad pump, gush of fuel means good pump.

That's how I would check it, since just feeling to see if the pump vibrates doesnt always mean its working. Pumps can 'run' and still be bad.

You may have a fuel tank vent problem if all the other stuff checks out OK. Let us know.

Did you find out what your issue was? I had the same thing happen to me today. It seemed like when I hit triple digits and then slowed to around 50mph, it would stall out on me. It happend soon after I put fuel (94 octane) in the tank. I'm pretty ****ty about it. My bike is an 06 1k, so nothing should need replacing right now. Bike has 3,500 miles on it.

Just high gears going "fast" or any speed. Wouldnt think its the pump or filter if it acts up by just going into a high gear. Ride around in low gears at high rpms. Keep it there and see if it bogs down.

Okay, here is my follow up post...

In addition the the bike cutting out on me when I decelerated from a high rate of speed, it would also do it when I came down from a wheelie. So I took it to the shop. Apparantly, my problem was my battery connection. One of my connectors was very loose and when I wheelied, it actually was coming off when I brought the bike down. Also, when I was at a high rate of speed, the vibrations would kick it off and I'd have no battery connection. They said all of my diognostic **** came back fine.

I picked it up today and the first thing I did was raise it up on one wheel. Came down and she rode just smooth as silk. Got on the highway and hit triple digits. No stuttering and not cut off. Problem solved. I wish I would've checked my battery before I took it to the shop. I would've saved 70 bucks. Oh well, it could've been worse. BUT when I got home I noticed my right turn signal had burned out!!!! I don't think its the shops fault though. Hopefully Proton will send me a new one. I'm calling them first thing tomorrow.
