Default Bike Rebuild

Sup Honda boyz
I have a general question. I have a friend who totaled his bike and we have agreed that he would buy it back from the insurance company and I would buy it from him..
Ok from the front forks, gauges, on down gotpulverized on the bike... Would that be a pretty costly front end rebuild? How much should I be looking to spend for replacement parts such as forks and gauges. What would be the most cost effective way to go about that.
oh yeah it's a 2005 cbr 1000. And do you guys know of any places where I could get those parts from.

Any advice would help.. Oh yeah this would be my first Honda. I want to see whatall the fuss is about

Front end wouldnt be too much work as long as the frame and engine are ok, it'd actually be a somewhat easy rebuild IMO.

ebay and www.hidyhondapowersports.com for parts

As long as the motor and frame are certified good then go for it, lots of parts available.

Formally bikerbulldog
I've been watching the boards for some time waiting on a password reset so I figured I just change my name.

I want to thank you guys and the forum, also members i purchased Items from. Carolina Cycles I love you guys I know I saved alot with them.( Id rather wait a few days with mail order products then to go off of Chapel Hill Blvd in durham and get raped!)Bike is coming back together nicely. First crank is Friday. I'm taking it to real Mechanic because it hasn't been started since the accident and it wouldn't turnover at first. Not a bad come up for $3400...2100 for the insurance company and close to 1300 in mostly new parts. Ill get picks up soon.
