Bike Cleaning

stay away from heavy soaps, you are washing painted plastic not painted metal.
a friend told me about baby shampoo, it sounds dumb but works like a charm, cleans the dirt but leaves a bit of wax behind. and for wax i use nothing but meguiars. if you open the can/bottle of wax and see white, dont use it on the bike, it works for a week or two then you get a film, plus the edges will always turn white right away.
eagle one has a clear wax/polish that works.
for your chain, use wd to clean the built up gunk and follow it up with a good chain lube. dont spray your sproket, just put a paper or rag or something on the bottom part of the chain between your engine and sproket and lube it up that way.
