my battery isnt charging for some reason on my 01 929 any input or places to start looking as to why it wont charge

 

I assume you mean in the bike. Honda must have bought the crappiest voltage regulators they could find, cos everyone seems to post this one, and I suspect thats wot your problem is, do a search on the site & you will see wot I mean. Just to make sure, take your bike to the shop & have them test the reg & battery at the same time. It does not take long & will sort out which is the prob.

 

well i checked that stator there are three wires that come out of it all yellow and none of them are producing any thing ? should i just try a new one

 

You had your little Flute meter on AC voltage right? check ohms between all the wires should be less then .5 ohms then check all wires from stator to ground make sure its not grounded out then check for voltage from stator at 5000RPMS should be about 45 to 50 Volts AC. if it fails any of these tests Ebay is your friend thier are nice stators for all cbrs starting at 129.00
