RE: adjusting suspension
Hey man,
If you have the OEM shock for 12 years now...it just might be worn out. I had a 94 Katana, the shock was toast after 11 years...upgraded to a bandit 1200 shock.
Alot of people ship them out and get rebuilt for 100$ or so, see what fits your bike...you may end up being able to upgrade to a bigger model shock.

adjust your pre-load higher. Your sag should be as close to 32mm as you can get it. then stiffen your dampening a little and see how that feels. If your pre-load is already maxed then you need new springs. it sucks because they can get expensive...but you will love how they feel. go to racetech.com and you can get a ton of info.
