Default Adjusting suspension for passenger?

I didn't receive the owners manual with my F4i.....what needs to be changed for a passenger...say I'm 185 and passenger 130lbs.
Is it dangerous to just keep the settings as I have it?
Or dangerous to ride with the "passenger" setting when I ride solo?
Is it just adjusting the rear spring with the spanner wrench or and/or the valving on the rear only?

Thanks in advance for your help.

From what you stated the factory setting should be ok unless you feel alot of bounce when riding. Then maybe stiffin spring. Most guys I know don't change anything when solo opposed to having passenger. It is more of how it feels and you need to get used to it with a passenger.

the bike is undersprung as is. i set the rear preload to notch 7(max) and the front to 2 lines showing. the bike doesn't bob back and forth like it did at the factory settings. its now much better. i weigh190 w/o gear.
