Default adjusting a chain?

Is it possible to do without a bike stand? Probably going to get flamed for this so the suit is on!

Anything's possible, but it's gonna be a hell of a lot harder. If you can't get a rear stand, use a jack to lift the bike up.

Or...have a buddy tilt and hold the bike on it's side stand (kick-stand) until the wheel is lifted into the air.

I did it on my old Aprilia RS125 without having the wheel in the air. Tightening the chain a few milimeters should roll the wheel back a bit as you do it.
