Default Acrylic Enamel Paint. Clear Coat or NOT?

I am buying acrylic enamel paint to do my bike. The places says that it doesn't need a clear coat. I would kinda like a clear coat, for extra protection, and plus I am doing a two tone job on it. So I think that the clear would help even it out. Am I wrong and the clear does nothing with this type of paint, or are my worries justified. Thanks in advance.

From my experience with acrylic enamel on cars, it will dull and fadequickly if not cleared. Get a good two stage paint that is designedto beclear coated.
