Default 98 CBR 600 F3 Weird starting issue

ok, so i've frequently stopped by here to read up on tech stuff and didfferent issues but this is my first time posting, so hi.

My name's justin and i have the bike mentioned in the title line. had it for three years, little electrical issues that i've really just dealt with but nothing serious(tempermental turn signals). also, i tried to install a HID headlight a week or so ago to no avail, and like a dummy, instead of removing it all after my failure i just left everything in line and changed out the hid bulb parts with the regular headlight. left the wires connected to the battery but since i maintained a good charge i don't know if that matters.

anyways, two days ago i started the bike in the morning fine and i just went ahead to work. got stopped on my way to work and had a short conversation with the bike off but the key in the on position. no more than 5 minutes. tried to restart, dead. parked it and got to work otherwise.

so i come back at around noon to check on it and it starts up but with a little drag in the power (like the battery was dying). it starts and i drive it around for a few miles to try to get a charge up. get back to work and finish off the workday. go to leave work and it won't start.

besides the random specifics repeat this whole scenario for the following day and here i am. bike parked, all lights come on, multimeter reads 12.2v on the battery, but nothing. i've checked all the obvious stuff like kill switch, clutch pulled in in gear, neutral, sidestand. nothing happening though. I'm not so mechanically inclined when it comes to vehicles and stuff so i don't really know the next place to check or anything. maybe fuses? don't know where that's at anyways, haha.

sorry for the crazy detail, just trying to be specific. thanks in advance for the help.

well by leaving the HID's connected your battery pry drained which could potentially ruin the battery so what you need to do is undo all the HID's and anything else that is not being used that you were to lazy to remove and then remove your battery and take it to advanced autoparts or autozone and have them charge/test your battery(free of charge) theyll tell you if it failed or not if it failed..... buy a new one. If it passed you might have a bad connection somewhere and gonna be spending some time in the garage locating it

good luck
